Posting

I am still not getting this blogging down pat but I will continue to try to make it interesting. I received two letters this past week from my Lexington grandkids. If you haven't written to your little grandbabies do so. They get really excited to get mail and they will answere when Mommy has time to help them. I love to receive their letters. So all you grandmothers and grandfathers, take time to write a short note to the little ones. I would love to watch their faces when they get that mail. Mail that is just for them. I really am bad about writing because of e-mails and facebook. I can keep in touch with the older ones that way but the little ones don't have e-mail or facebook. Just remember how you felt when you got that card or letter when you were little and make your grandkids day a little brighter and fun. My children used to carry their mail around all afternoon when they got it. I had forgotten how much fun it was to go to the mail box and there it was. A letter from my Grandma Lanham. She did not write often but I loved getting that letter.

I remember the day I got a package from her. I was so excited because we did not often get gifts from Grandma. In the package was a sweater for my doll. My grandma took the time to make me a doll sweater. I still have that sweater from sixty or so years ago. So I am trying to give my little ones the same excitement of receiving mail from someone they love. If you haven't tried it you are missing a blessing. I know we can talk to them on the phone or send them a message through Mom's e-mail or facebook but it is not the same as getting that letter with their name on it and it is just theirs, no one elses. It doesn't take much time and it brightens someones day.

I should do this, but I don't know if it will start a fight if I mail them one at a time.
